Hello folks,
Just wanted to give you a heads up on some fun events we are going to be a part of the last couple months of 2011. We will once again be playing at the Taylorsville Tavern after the not-to-be-missed annual Taylorsville Light Parade showcasing the most excellent hillbilly light extravaganza around. The Light Parade show takes place on the Saturday following Thankgiving (11/26/11). On Friday Dec 2nd, we’ll be getting our Sparkle on with Chico’s The Railflowers in Quicny, CA at the wonderful Pangea Cafe & Pub. The show coincides with Quicny’s 22nd annual Sparkle and Light Parade. The following evening, Sat Dec 3rd, we will be back in Chico to perform at Jessi Amundson’s Art Show opening at Bustolinis Deli & Cafe with our friends Darren Ney, Dave Mulligan, Lexi, and JP Gutierrez. Saturday Dec 17th, we will be playing The Sweaty Yeti Ball at the Origami Lounge in Chico with The Amblers.

This show will be an excellent one featuring Steve Taylor from Oakland and Chico’s “phantom music legend” Nate Pendery at Cafe Coda on Friday June 10th.
With a sound steeped in the sunlit tones of Laurel Canyon, the mid 60’s pop and R&B of the Brill Building, and the lo-fi synths of early prog rock, Oakland resident Steve Taylor is equal parts folk troubadour and blue-eyed soul balladeer. A multi-instrumentalist with a surprisingly diverse background, including stints in black gospel churches, avant-garde psych-rock ensembles, and indie rock bands, he’s spent the better part of the last two years as the keyboardist in Brushfire/Universal band Rogue Wave, as well as collaborating with members of Vetiver, Avi Buffalo, and The Mother Hips.
We will be unveiling our new album Waiting For Saturn Friday April 8th, 2011 at the Chico Women’s Club. We are honored to have our friends The Railflowers, Uni & Her Ukelele, and Evin Wolverton performing as well. The show is $5 and CD’s will be $5 one night only!
